Celebrating Nine Years of Daily Musings and a Giveaway - 2 Days Left

I have never done any one thing for this long. What started as a way to make the mundane task of cooking more enjoyable has morphed into a hobby that literally keeps me thinking about food all the time. It has been fun is saying the least.

The journey has been made even more pleasurable by the fact that there are readers for this blog. The blog is neither pretty or beautiful, nor is it one in which food is presented like art, nor is it a very popular one. But in the vast universe that is the world wide web, I would like to believe that this blog has its own nano corner.

Thanks to all of you readers who stop by read and more importantly comment and send me emails. I would like to appreciate each and every one of you.

As for this giveaway it is a small token of appreciation. There will be 2 giveaways which can be one of the three mentioned below.

Lodge Cast Iron Skillet - 12 inches

Ceramic Non-Stick Fry Pan - 8 inches

  8. Hello ISG, I got to know about your blog while I googled for kollu paruppu three years back. Since then I ve been hooked to your blogging. To be honest I follow your blog mainly to read up on your views on various topics especially those related to food industry. The awareness to shop for 'real food ' and the meeting of your blog happened at the same time for me when I was new to the US. Was so happy to learn more from your blog. I also take this opportunity to suggest you to write more on child rearing as I can remember while reading through your archives you have asked the readers what should you blog about. I was not a follower then, so I m requesting you now. I would like to enter the giveaway. I love the cast iron skillet. However I live in India so can't choose the giveaways.
Keep up the good work. Cheers!!!

  9. Hello ISG
Not sure if my comment was hit. so resending it... rather retyping it :)
Congratulations on achieving such a tremendous feat. I am sure it isn't that easy as it posts. So way to go.
I am a dormant reader of this blog but i read most of the recipes. I should nudge myself to even post comments. I will try to because my super tedious job keeps me tied almost 15 hours a day.
Coming to suggesting an improvement, I would suggest you to give your blog a makeover by changing templates, fonts and colors. If you would like me to pitch in, i will be glad to.
I'd love to avail a $25 amazon gift card so that gift myself a electric rice cooker. On a side note, I ended up spoiling mine to charring black recently.

    Cheers
